Wart is a contagious skin disease that can grow at any part of the body; wart occurs due to the virus. Warts generally remain with the person for 6 months to 2 years, but few warts don’t go and remain long with us, such kind of warts needs to be treated. However, wart doesn’t hurt us physically and it doesn’t contain any long-term or short-term side effects. But definitely, wart decreases our beauty and wart becomes a bad noticing point of our body. Wart mostly prevailed among the children aged 10-16 years. Almost every third person in life experiences the problem of warts. You might have seen the people around you with multiple warts covering their skin and diminishing their beauty.

 

What is Wart? 

Wart is a small bump of flesh that occurs on the skin, wart occurs and spread across the body because of the virus called HPV (Human papillomavirus). This virus produces extra cells in our body and the organ or place where the extra cells grow in that place of skin becomes thick and hard, and eventually, the extra growth of the cells takes the shape of the wart. A wart is a contagious disease that can spread from one man to another. The types of warts vary as per their place of occurrence and the shape of the wart. 

 

There are a few types of warts that are mentioned below:

 

  • Common warts: Hard and rough bumps that mostly grows on the knees and hands.
  • Flat warts: Flattened. Smooth, and tiny bumps mostly occur on the face, lower leg, and hand.
  • Filiform warts: Filiform warts mostly occur near the eye, nose, and neck. The shape of the filiform looks like the fingertip.
  • Plantar warts (Mosaic warts): The hard, stone-like flesh bumps that mostly grow on the sole of the feet are plantar warts. Plantar warts make walking tough and can be painful.
  • Genital warts: Genital warts are the small bumps that occur on the skin through skin transmission. 

 

What are the symptoms of warts?

It is very simple to identify warts through their shape and structure, but there are a few symptoms written below-

  • Small bumps of flesh
  • Pink, brown or white colour of warts
  • The surface is rough to touch
  • Hard structure
  • Do not pain
  • Spreads with unwanted touching and cutting 

 

What are the causes of warts?

As mentioned above warts only occurs because of the HPV virus, but not each human body with HPV virus grows warts. The occurrence of warts depends on how our body and the immune system respond to the virus. The strong immunity neutralizes the effect of the virus and does not grow warts, only the weak immune system allows the virus to grow extra cells that eventually turn into warts. So, the causes of warts can include-

  • Weak immune system 
  • Sexual transmission
  • Contagious transmission of wart causing virus
  • Direct contact with warts
  • Picking of warts

 

What are the complications of warts?

Warts do not remain with us for a long period, warts grow and go with time. Fewer warts may be the sign of-

  • Anal cancer
  • Cervical cancer
  • Throat cancer
  • Disfigurement 
  • Infection

 

Prevention to regulate the expansion of warts-

  • Avoid direct contact with warts
  • Do not pick at the warts
  • If some apparatus like razor contains blood or touch of warts may expand warts. Take precautions while using apparatus around the wart
  • Avoid biting your nails 
  • Groom your warts with high prevention
  • Consume the fruits and vegetables that are rich in Vitamins
  • Apply lemon sap on the surface of the wart

 

Home remedies for warts-

Follow the home remedies mentioned below to get rid of warts-

First Home Remedy for warts:

Ingredients: Apple cider vinegar and baking soda

Instructions: Take ¼ spoon of apple cider vinegar and ¼ spoon of baking soda, mix them well and directly apply the paste to the surface of the wart. This remedy will increase some bearable pain and will end the wart.

 

Second-home remedy for warts:

Ingredients: Banana peel

Instructions: Apply the wet side of the banana peel on the wart for 15 minutes.

 

Third Home remedy for warts:

Ingredients: Onion sap

Instructions: Take a drop of onion sap and directly apply it to the surface of the wart

 

Fourth Home remedy for warts:

Ingredients: Honey

Instructions: Apply a drop of honey on the surface of the wart.

 

Fifth Home remedy for warts:

Ingredients: Aloe vera gel

Instructions: put the gel of aloe vera on the surface of the wart and tie it with a clean cloth.
